Oh where to begin…I gave this hotel 2 stars instead of 1 because they made it right in the end.. I also gave their service a 2 star rating because they stopped coming by and refreshing the towels and toiletries after 3 days went by… we stayed for a week and ended up having to change rooms due to hair being everywhere in the bathroom and towels. It was gross. There was hair all in the shower and walls of the shower as well as the bathroom door. The last straw was the cockroach we found in the morning. I took out my pocket knife and chopped its head off! Ha! You can imagine my wife was like “ yeah we’re changing rooms “. We also witnessed a cleaning lady drop a stack of towels off of her cart onto the hallway floor and just put the whole stack right back on the cart like nothing happened… yikes ! Service was great at the front desk. They were nice and helpful and helped us change rooms and reimbursed us for one of the nights and the amenities fee for the whole stay. The location is great. Right near the beach and bikes were newer and were fun to ride. The hotel needs updated badly. There was some trash all over the place. If it got renovated with better housekeeping it would be fantastic!

My family and i are currently staying at Hotel Tybee. On check in day, the manager sent me a welcome text and said to let them know if we needed anything. Check in was easy and the front desk staff are friendly and helpful. The room was clean when we arrived, I like that there is liquid hand soap in the bathroom and a dehumidifier in the room to help with the humidity. The Air conditioner worked great and kept the room cool. The beds are comfortable! The shower has good water pressure and temperature. Beach was easily accessible. we enjoyed sitting under the pier. housekeeping came by on the second day to make sure we had everything we needed. The wifi was spotty but everything else was great. I would definitely stay here again!

The best thing about the hotel is the location. It is close to the beach, restaurants & shops. I was disappointed that they charged an extra $30 a day that is not included in the hotel price & not disclosed before booking. They charge $20 a day for parking & another $10 for amenities. Not sure what the amenities are. There are two beach chairs available in the room which was nice. I stayed 3 nights & housekeeping never cleaned my room! The dispensers were out of soap & conditioner. When I called the front desk asking why my room had been ignored they seemed unbothered, but did bring some conditioner bottles. They said they couldn't fill the dispensers. The property feels run down and dated. Lots of non-hotel traffic accessing the beach. The hotel is overpriced IMO.

Our stay at Tybee Island was wonderful! We will defintely be back! Being right on the beach with everything you need in walking diatance was perfect! The hotel offers bikes for riding along their quaint streets (included with your stay) which my boys enjoyed. Each room comes with 2 complimentary beach towels and chairs. The pier is a great spot to hang out with fishing and shops to eat at.

PERFECT Location! Walking distance to everything you would want to do. Yes, the hotel is a little older, but it is clean and kept up. Splash pad for the kiddos, two pools and steps to the beach. Definitely a solid choice!

We came down for the weekend and walking in the floors were absolutely disgusting. There was sand and grime in all areas of the room. The air felt like I might as well jump in the pool and take a deep breath. It smelled like mildew the entire stay. There was mold in and around the shower. The “dune view” was just a parking lot and a hill. We paid wayy too much for the room for the toilet to touch the shower. The only pro I can think of is that there were beach chairs and towels included. Other than that. I do not recommend to anyone.

Front desk lacked any kind of welcoming energy. First impression is everything. The hotel rents out the parking spaces for the public to access the beach. It was the busiest beach i have been too. And I've been to alot of beaches. Hotel needs alot of updates . Outside is dated but I can say the rooms were clean.

Perfect little beach hotel for a weekend getaway. The location honestly can’t be beat — easy walk to the beach, restaurants, bars, and everything happening on Tybee. The staff were friendly, the room was clean and comfortable, and the overall vibe was relaxed and easy. Not overly fancy, just exactly what you want for a fun beach weekend where you spend more time enjoying the island than sitting in the room.

The room was wonderful. The view was amazing you can see the pier and the boats coming and going.. The website said free breakfeast but, they stopped it during covid. So no breakfast but other then that. We had a lovely stay.

My stay at Hotel Tybee was great! It’s an older hotel with an interesting history, love knowing it’s been a part of Tybee vacations for so long! My rom was clean, everything I needed. The location is great, loved the availability of the bicycles! It would be great for families with the pool and splash pad. All the staff I dealt with were super friendly, accommodating. I will definitely stay there again.
